This Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data when you use Askar. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We may request Bluetooth, Wi-Fi / nearby devices, network, and location-related permissions where the operating system requires them for scanning or BLE. You can manage permissions in system settings; denying them may limit features.
Sensitive values (e.g. access tokens, Wi-Fi passwords keyed by SSID) are stored using platform secure storage. Other preferences and device registry data may use standard local storage. Protect your device with a lock screen.
The App may permit cleartext HTTP to specific servers or devices (e.g. lab/LAN environments). Unencrypted traffic can be intercepted on untrusted networks. Use trusted networks; production deployments should prefer HTTPS where appropriate.
During provisioning, the App may run a short-lived local HTTP endpoint to receive reports from hardware.This service is only used when required during the provisioning process.
Subject to the installation package you actually download and the list we publish. The current version does not integrate typical advertising or third-party analytics SDKs (e.g. Firebase Analytics). If that changes, we will update this Policy and obtain consent where required.
Processing primarily occurs on your device and networks you connect to. If servers are located outside your country or data is transferred cross-border, we will describe recipients and safeguards as required by law (e.g. GDPR mechanisms).
If you are a minor, please review this Policy and use the App under the guidance of your guardian. We do not conduct targeted marketing towards children. If we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it upon request.
Depending on jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port data, object, and withdraw consent. Contact us using the details above, and we will respond within the statutory time limit. Some data exists only on your device—you can delete it by clearing app data or uninstalling.
If the CCPA/CPRA applies, you may have rights to know, delete, and opt out of certain “sales/sharing” (we do not sell personal data in the conventional sense; see contact for requests). We do not use sensitive personal information for inferring characteristics for unlawful discrimination.
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or announcements on our official website / Github Pages. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance.
